REFUND RULES

if u have booked the train ticket ...if u want to cancel it .........then u will get the cancellation rules here.
u should follow these rules for cancelling the train tickets.
the new refund rules are come into force. 01/07/2013 . the new amendments are made in the refund rules  are to simplification, efficiency in processing and reduction of refund claim.

Existing Rules:

1) if a ticket on which reservation of seat not made is presented to the station master for cancelling and refunding of the fares on every such tickets after deducting the clerkages cost.

2) within 3 hrs after the train departure of train for which the ticket is issued.

3) for any ticket valid for the entire day. within 3 hrs, after the actual departure of the last train of day for the destination stations.

New Amended rules:

1) if ticket on which no reservation of a seat had made is presented for cancellation, refund will be made after deducting clearkag

2) ticket shall be presented for cancellation within  3 hrs of issue of tickets.

3) in case of tickets issued in advance ,,,,,,,ticket is presented upto 24. hrs.of the day preceeding the day of train journey.

E-Ticket Cancellation:

1) u can book and cancel the e tickets through and cancel the same and u got the account in your account after the deducting the charges applicable.

2)the refund of fare shall be not admissible on RAC e tickets in case the request for refund is filled after the 3hrs of the actual departure of the train.

3) in case of confirmed e-tickets, refunding

cacellation of tatkal tickets;

1) if u want to cancel tatkal tickets . u will not get refund of the fare once the ticket confirmed.

2) if u are on waiting list for tatkal ticket, the refund of the fare shall be granted in accordance with rule for the unused waitlists.

New Application For Refund of passenger reservation system:

if u want refund of the fare under other circumstances other than the mentioned in these rules, when passenger could not reached the reservation counter or station. the TDR shall be issued to the passenger and may apply for refund of fare within ten days instead existing 90 day from the day of commencement of journey to chief commercial manager refund of railway administration.
